Owners Sarah and Andy have received a warm welcome from the community since re-opening The Castle Inn. After being closed for more than a year, the pub which is located in the heart of the village, sat quiet and isolated before it was brought back to life in March 2010.
Supporting local farmers and the unbeatable quality of their produce, The Castle Inn's menu of traditional pub meals includes award-winning local meats, freshly caught local fish and delicious homemade desserts. They also serve a fantastic selection of wines, spirits and, of course, the region's favourite ales, including local favourites from Adnams and Earl Soham Victoria.
The Castle Inn has become a popular choice for walkers, tourists and people visiting the market town of Woodbridge, just three miles away, and other nearby places of interest such as Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings. Escaping the tourist bustle, customers enjoy the pub's low key charm that allows the owners to put every effort into making their visit an enjoyable one.
Enjoying the traditional spirit of good-natured banter, The Castle Inn is a great place for local events. Dogs are welcomed into one of its dining areas, which benefits from a magnificent wood burner – a perfect comfort after a winter walk. And as for enjoying the summer sun, the Castle Inn's outside tables are the perfect retreat for a refreshing pint.
